1) My Dad wears a lot of camo. 2) We have a ton of crap in the garage. 3) Dad has a tool for everything. 4) I am not in any pictures.
Since I am the one behind the camera, I am not in many pictures. I don’t really mind, my goodwill jeans and shirts purchased have black POR15 paint, water seal stain, pine sap from ice storm clean up and various other stains all on them. I look like a homeless person while working and I have never been photogenic anyway.
With retirement-age parents, technology is still a challenge. My Mom is addicted to her iPhone and iPad and never leaves home without them and is always on one – always. But she claims that she can’t see outside to take pictures…right. She has never been a great picture taker, all my childhood pictures are off-center or someone is cut out. I asked her to take a picture of me and Molly a few years back, below is what I ended up with. Classic.
Obviously, Dad is doing most of the work so he is unable to take pictures (but he sure can order me to take a picture of this, a picture of that, “when are you going to print those out?” – who actually prints pictures anymore!?!). He can’t work an iPhone or camera anyway. Actually, I bet he could, IF he wanted to. Why learn when you can order someone else to do it?
